Greg Ellis Pours On The Steam
**Re unites with Co-star Reva Rice**
Now in its third year at the Las Vegas Hilton, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express adds
talented British actor Greg Ellis to its captivating cast, and reunites him with London co-star, Reva
Rice.
Ellis plays the underdog steam engine, Rusty, while Rice plays Pearl, the lovely observation car
whose affection for Rusty is derailed by the appearance of Electra, a flashy, state-of-the-art
electric train.
Rice and Ellis played Pearl and Rusty from 1992 through early 1993 to sold-out houses at
London's Apollo Victoria Theatre. Their voices can be heard on the London cast album, "The
New Starlight Express," and on the latest recording of Andrew Lloyd Webber's greatest hits.
Ellis is jazzed about joining the Las Vegas cast of Starlight Express, not only for the opportunity to
perform again with Reva Rice, but because his appearance at the Las Vegas Hilton marks his Las
Vegas debut, and his first appearance on stage in the United States.
Well-known to audiences in his native England, Ellis' credits include theatre in London's West
End, television appearances on the BBC, film roles, and even a single released recently on his own
record label.
Rusty is one of Ellis' favorite roles. A shy steam engine who experiences a crisis of confidence
when he competes in a race against faster and more powerful engines, Rusty is a character
everyone can identify with. One of the most poignant moments in Starlight occurs when Rusty
realizes that he can achieve his dream, if only he draws on the power deep inside himself. "There's
a little bit of Rusty in all of us," says Ellis.
With Ellis and Rice recoupled at the Las Vegas Hilton, Starlight Express promises to continue its
open-throttles pursuit of audiences' hearts, and to remain firmly on everyone's list of "must-see"
Las Vegas entertainment. With daredevil roller-skating, toe-tapping melodies, and eye-catching
costumes and special effects, Starlight Express is a breathtaking expression of the simplest, yet
most universal truth -- that if you truly believe in yourself, anything is possible. **FROM THE REALLY USEFULL COMPANY SITE** I just had a pic to go along with it so I added it to my site too
